The Festival of Sound, a musical celebration occupying a full week after the spring solstice, has six events that recount the steps of your journey to the lair of an ancient dragon, who you charmed with music into agreeing to cease raiding and instead become a protector of the lands you called home. The seventh night, the dragon always arrives, and has had centuries to become an excellent musician in his own right, recounting the same six-part tale in the arcane language that is his native tongue.
"Whoever I once 'was' reunited with the gods long ago. I stand in the place of an unfortunate victim, the undying ideas of a dead man made manifest by their very killers."
You were a mortician, tasked with ensuring the dead were preserved in a way for their kin to mourn without risking contamination of the city’s waterways by the creeping rot that afflicted all dead things. You made an ossuary, using carefully prepared water and fire sprite to purify the remains and destroy the rot before it could leach away to cause trouble. City engineers even helped you design aqueducts into the ossuary, an homage of life amid the resting dead.
In front of you is a lever, dont look down at the ground, its not a trapdoor hooked up to the lever. Just pull the lever, something really funny will happen I promise.
